The Everest Childrens Welfare Zone

Our objectives

Our broad objective is to increase awareness in societies to ensure welfare and secure a bright future for the children. We have several long-term objectives. They are:

  1. To operate a diverse range of informal education programs such as adult literacy, road dramas, children’s theatre education and audiovisual lessons.
  2. To work and co-ordinate with other Governmental and non-Governmental organisations in order to eradicate child labour exploitation and sexual abuse of children.
  3. To provide advocacy and legal assistance for children who require help.
  4. To ensure the protection and social security of orphans and street children.
  5. To work alongside similar organisations in development, education and health fields.
  6. To increase awareness and consciousness of the problems associated with ‘street children’.
  7. To produce and distribute information orientated newspapers, booklets and documentaries for mainstream awareness education.
  8. To provide income generating training to people in remote villages.
  9. To implement and/or assist in disaster-relief programs.
  10. To support organisations working in the HIV AIDS field while helping victims of such disease to be socially accepted and therefore secure in society.
